To help passengers at Düsseldorf Airport find a baggage cart for their suitcases as quickly as possible, the airport has introduced a new baggage cart management system next month. It uses cutting-edge software to ensure that carts will be available wherever they are needed at the airport. Passengers can then utilise the more than 1,300 baggage carts at a total of 27 collection points.
The new system uses a technique that is employed around the globe and designed to meet the specific needs of customers at large airports. The system is convenient and easy for users. Another plus is that collection spots without any baggage carts or with too many will be rare, which will improve passenger traffic and ease of navigation.
The fee is 2 euro per rental and can be paid conveniently and cashlessly with all common EC and credit cards, e.g., MasterCard, VISA, Maestro, American Express, Girocard, Diners Club International, and Google and Apple Pay. More cashless payment systems will be added.
